Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage complex large scale & enterprise level projects understanding the interdependencies of technology, operations & business needs
  • Coordinate with IT delivery teams in scope discussions, finalization, development tracking, testing & implementation
  • Knowledge of Life Insurance policy administration, customer servicing, new business functions
  • Strategize system/process improvements, plan and execute projects to automate/optimize processes to reduce ticket inflow and improve stability of application helping EODB
  • Awareness of contemporary technologies used by Insurance and BFSI Industry and evaluate them for use
  • Participate and/or drive feasibility studies, vendor selections and proposals for evaluation by appropriate key stakeholders
  • Define the Statement of Work, Business case with commercial and project benefit and manage commercial approvals and onboarding of partners
  • Ability to manage internal & external stakeholders from Project management, Vendor Management aspects
  • Develop and manage all aspects of project and program engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks and issues
  • Extensive understanding of various IT technologies, SDLC, IT Development & Infrastructure
  • Manage the day-to-day project activities and resources and chairs the project management team meetings
  • Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization
  • Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across leadership
  • Work well within the budget to manage resources and deliveries
  • Manage project demand and delivery working with multiple Architecture, Solution and development leaders


Desired Candidate Profile

  • Excellent experience in SDLC Methodologies, Agile, SCRUM, SDLC / Waterfall
  • Strong Life Insurance Tecno-Functional Knowledge
  • Hands on experience on legacy and web application development/support.
  • MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Experience drafting and submitting Business case and tracking benefits
  • Experience of working on Life Insurance products & industry applications like LifeAsia or Ingenium
  • Technical Knowledge of Web, Mobility, CRM, e-Commerce, cloud and emerging technologies
  • Knowledge of new technologies like RPA, AI, etc would be desired
  • Experience in PL/SQL, Java, .Net technologies mandatory. Ability to analyze code & execute queries
Knowledge or experience of AS400, Cobol/400 required 

PMP / Architecture certificate, FLMI etc.


- Minimum 4 – 5 years in Life Insurance & 5 – 7 years in BFSI

- 3 – 4 years of IT development management experience

- Minimum 2 – 3 years of experience in Life Insurance systems (LifeAsia/ Ingenium)



Salary: INR 12,00,000 - 18,00,000 PA.
